EDITOR’S NOTE – SUMMER 2026:

This issue’s fiction pieces take us from Ireland, to Japan, to Antarctica and touch on father/child issues as well as the complexities of romance and loneliness. The stories are bittersweet, offering hope and resolution even in the most troubled situations.

Sky arches over many of the poems in this issue—at the edges, as a character, as light.  

In this collection, there are two clocks, two female Grimm’s fairytale characters, a lobster reading the newspaper, Tom Robbins in Milton’s Hell, Kozy Shack, and acrobats on the trapeze. We have poems that unpack the past, long for missing homelands and the memory of scent, restore estranged siblings, and combine modern technology with God, science, and humanity. 

We are grateful for our readers and for the writers and poets who send us their best, most engaging work. We read submissions chronologically, and choose as we go, and it surprises us how the stories and poems in each issue talk to each other.
