WRITERS UNDER 30

The Westchester Review is now accepting submissions for our fifth annual “Writers Under 30” contest. The contest is open to writers of fiction and poetry who have a connection to the Westchester County area, and are under the age of 30 as of September 1, 2018.

We will award prizes for both fiction and poetry. Winners will receive $100, publication in the upcoming issue, and two copies of the journal. Runners-up will be considered for publication.

The deadline is September 1, 2018.

We consider only previously unpublished work. Writers can submit up to three poems or one short story (up to 5,000 words). Please note there is a $10 reading fee for each submission. The Submit page will take you to our submission manager where you can upload your work and pay the fee.

FLASH FICTION CONTEST

The Westchester Review is now accepting submissions for our second annual Flash Fiction contest. We are looking for satisfying and compelling stories of up to 500 words. There are no restrictions on subject, style, or genre. The contest is open to writers who have a connection to the Westchester County area.

The winner will receive $100, publication in the upcoming issue, and two copies of the journal. Runners-up will be considered for publication.

Deadline: September 1, 2018.
